The 8th Netmarks Overseas Business Group (OBG) Annual Management Meeting was held at The Tagaytay Highlands Golf Club International from December 2-4, 2009. Thirteen delegates from six countries (Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) and six local delegates from Netmarks Philippines Inc., the host country, participated in the annual meeting.

The OBG held a pre-conference meeting with regional clients Nippon Express and Hitachi Asia. It was presided over by Mr. Masahiro Miura of the Overseas Business Strategy Team of Netmarks, Inc. Japan.

After the pre-meeting, the group traveled to scenic Tagaytay for the conference. They were billeted at the famous Spa and Lodge Hotel of the resort.

The Main Conference was held on December 3 at the Montana Hall of The Highlands Steakhouse. Ambassador Benjamin F. Sanvictores, NMP Chairman began the meeting with welcome remarks. Thereafter, Mr. Philip B. Sanvictores NMP President called the meeting to order and presided.

Mr. Atsushi Ohashi, President and CEO of Netmarks, inc. (Japan) discussed the Business Activities of Netmarks Group for the ensuing FY 2009. This was followed by country presentations from Japan (by Mr. Masahiro Miura), Indonesia (by Mr. Taofik Hidayat, Deputy GM), Malaysia (by Mr. Ong Thuan Lip, COO), the Philippines (jointly by Mr. Raymond Sanvictores, Executive Officer-Director with Engr. Ulysses Liao, Technology Development Manager), Singapore (by Mr. Ang See Huat, Managing Director), Thailand (jointly by Mr. Dullert Sangudomlert – Sales Manager, Mr. Wicharn Ratanaskuldilog – Engineering Manager and Dr. Vises Vorasucha, President-CEO), and Vietnam (jointly by Mr. Le Duc Tho, Sales Manager and Mr. Le Ngoc My, CEO). Netmarks China was unable to participate in this meeting.

Each presentation provided country strategies and plans according to clear goals and objectives of Netmarks Mid-Term Business Strategy (2010-2014) which foresees significant revenue growth and practice expansion in the next five years.

The NMP President then presented a consolidated summary of the country presentations which was thereupon submitted to Netmarks Japan.

Towards the end of the conference, Mr. Nobutoshi Tachibana, Corporate Officer of Netmarks, Inc. Japan, announced the publication of the Japan Unisys Technology Review. He also discussed plans for implementing, monitoring and aligning each affiliate regional company with the general growth directions of Netmarks, Inc.

Over-all, the conference was a huge success, not only in terms of the business and technical side, but also in the camaraderie and deep friendship that was cultivated in the hearts of everyone in the group.

The event was capped by a golf tournament among the delegates at the Tagaytay Midlands Golf & Country Club. Thereafter, a farewell dinner was hosted by Netmarks Japan at the Akasaka Restaurant of the Highlands Club House.

The 8th Annual Meeting was organized by Team NMP led by Mrs. Patricia Maribel Sanvictores (CFO), Ms. Lina V. Mamonluk (HR Officer and Event Coordinator), Mr. Benj Sanvictores (Asst. Treasurer) and Engr. John Khalid Punzalan (Engineering Operations Manager).

The 9th Annual Meeting will be held in Vietnam in 2010.
